Master Class – BD Colen, Journalist & Photographer

B.D. Colen is a Pulitzer Prize winning journalist who spent 23 years at The Washington Post and Newsday. Mr. Colen began his career in journalism the week after his 17th birthday, covering the historic March on Washington as a reporter/photographer for a weekly newspaper in Connecticut. He has written about 10 books on medically related subjects – his specialty as a reporter. As a photographer he has worked for a wide range of editorial, corporate, and private clients, from The Washington Post and Boston Globe to the New England Journal of Medicine and Harvard University. B.D. Colen is a former lecturer of Documentary Photography and of Feature Writing at MIT, and at the Harvard Extension School. He will be presenting his special style of Street Photography, including samples, tips and techniques with us all.
