background:
Dr. Hinchcliffe has been an educator for 15 years. He earned his BA and MA in philosophy at McMaster University before going on to complete a doctorate in law at the University of Oxford. As university lecturer, he specialized in moral, legal and political philosophy, but he also has a background and interest in ancient philosophy.
Dr. Hinchcliffe has worked with primary and high school students from around the world in a variety of settings, with a particular focus on critical thinking and English language skills.
In 2022 he founded Morgandale Education Services, which provides customized tutoring in all subjects as well as coaching programs for academic skills, university admissions, and executive function.
He is also the author of two young adult novels, Chasing Checkers and Chasing Checkers: Acceleration.
Academic beliefs:
Dr. Hinchcliffe believes that education should be student-centred, practical, and experiential. Knowledge emerges when students actively engage with their environment through experimentation, inquiry, and reflection.
