background:
Mr. Carter has a BA, MA and PhD (ABD) in English, with a specialization in Renaissance Literature and Shakespeare. He was a University Teaching Assistant for five years: one year at Queen’s University and four years at the University of Western Ontario. He also has taught and tutored both elementary and high school students for over ten years. Recently, he completed a full-time, two-year contract as an English Teacher for grades 5-8 and 11 at the international school, Lycée Français Toronto. In addition, Mr. Carter served for four years as a Communications and Public Relations Office Manager for a Minister in the Canadian Federal Government. As a teacher, Mr. Carter loves helping students cultivate a love for learning, achieve academic excellence, and develop advanced skills in reading, writing, critical thinking, communication, analysis, and research. In his spare time, Mr. Carter enjoys exercising, playing chess, and spending time with his wife and children.
