All Exclusive program participants will enjoy a mix of specialty programming instruction in the morning and an afternoon full of traditional day camp activities including archery, arts and crafts, water games, hiking, campfire, field games, theme day activities, special guests and more. Campers in our Exclusive programs will enjoy all that Camp Laureate has to offer, utilizing both our indoor and outdoor facilities. All camp participants will be provided with a delicious and nutritious lunch in our indoor cafeteria.
Chefs in the Kitchen
New for 2024! Whisking Up Wonder: Young Chefs Unleashing Culinary Creativity!
Camp Laureate is excited to announce our new Chefs in the Kitchen exclusive program. Campers aged 8-14 will get to experience an engaging hands-on experience, run by our specialist staff, which is aimed at getting campers comfortable in the kitchen. Campers of all experience levels will love getting into our camp kitchen to whip up delicious treats! In this new program, campers will get to try their hand at prepping ingredients and cooking new foods that they are sure to love. There will be a focus on kitchen safety and culinary skill building for tasks such as measuring, food handling and knife handling. Throughout the week, campers will collect recipes and start their own recipe book that they will take home at the end of the week to share with friends and family. Campers are encouraged to come to camp decked out in their favourite apron and bring a reusable container with them to bring home their creations to share (if they leave you any!) Chefs in the Kitchen campers will also enjoy other activities that Camp Laureate has to offer, including traditional day camp activities, theme days, special guests, hot lunches and more! Camp Laureate Jr.
Junior Camp Laureate is specifically designed for young campers!
Returning for 2024, Jr. campers (ages 4&5) will spend their time at camp participating in our special STEAM activities that have been carefully planned for younger campers. Our talented and caring camp staff have planned a fun and engaging week filled with a mix of Science, Arts and Sports programming aimed at young campers. In the afternoons, campers will experience traditional day camp activities such as arts and crafts, archery, field games, hiking, and water games. Our 1:7 ratio will allow for younger campers to have a fun and safe summer camp experience. Jr. Campers will participate in our Thursday theme day activities and special guest presentations. All camp participants will be provided with a delicious and nutritious lunch in our indoor cafeteria. Camp Laureate Jr. is available for one week only and spaces are limited, so register now! Camping Skills
Nature’s classroom: Explore, Learn, Thrive!
- Cooking in the wild: Campers will learn to safely cook over a campfire to create a range of tasty treats!
- Nature Scavenger Hunt: Campers will immerse themselves in the natural wonders around camp and participate in a nature scavenger hunt to identify local flora and fauna, while learning about the importance of environmental stewardship.
- Navigational Adventures: From compass basics to orienteering challenges, campers will practice their navigational skills, ensuring that they can confidently explore the wilderness.
- Survival Skills workshop: Campers will delve into the basics of survival in the wild and discover essential survival techniques, including shelter building. These skills are sure to boost confidence while also instilling a deeper connection to the natural environment.
- Campfire Tales and Stargazing: As the sun sets, campers will gather around the campfire for storytelling and stargazing. They will share tales, legends and enjoy the magic of night sky filled with twinkling stars.
- Overnight Camping experience: Campers will have the opportunity to put their newfound skills to the test with a one-night (Thursday) sleepover under the stars. Campers will experience the thrill of sleeping in tents, surrounded by the sounds of nature. Adult supervision ensures a safe and memorable night of camping camaraderie.
Baking and Decorating
Sugar, Spice, and Everything Nice: Young Bakers Creating Sweet Masterpieces!
New for 2024! We are excited for campers to experience this hands-on program designed to help young bakers feel more comfortable in the kitchen. Our specialist staff will teach our aspiring bakers how to make a variety of different baked goods, including cookies, breads, cakes and more! Campers will learn how to safely navigate the kitchen to make sweet treats! Staff will focus instruction on skills such as measuring ingredients, understanding the chemistry of baking and how to use different icing techniques. No experience is necessary, and all skill levels are welcome to participate in this exclusive program. Campers will end the week by taking home a collection of recipes to start their own recipe books. Campers are encouraged to wear their favourite apron, and a reusable food storage container to bring home and share some of their creations! New for 2024! Our exclusive Jewelry making program is more that just a jewelry making program, its an exploration of self-expression and artistry.
Campers aged 8-14 are invited to join us for a creative journey where campers learn to turn raw materials into wearable masterpieces, discovering the joy and fulfilment of bringing their visions to life through the beautiful craft of jewelry making. This program is designed for creative souls of all skill levels. Campers will learn new skills in jewelry design, gemstone exploration and personal charm creations, while learning how to safely handle different tools and materials. Create bracelets, necklaces, earrings and more! Jewelry Making campers will also get to experience the wonders of our Camp Laureate traditional day camp activities such as archery, arts and crafts, field games, theme days, hot lunches and more! Leadership Camp
Calling all Senior Campers!! This program is for you!
Campers aged 12-14 will love our new Camp Laureate Leadership program, an empowering and transformative camp designed for older campers seeking to unlock their leadership potential. This immersive experience is tailored to inspire, challenge, and equip young leaders with the skills and mindset to make a positive impact in their communities and beyond. Our program aims to teach campers new skills in team building, leadership, cooperative learning, communication, and group dynamics! At the end of the week, all Leadership campers will have the opportunity to put their newly learned skills into practice by leading younger campers in an assortment of games and activities as a counsellor in training! Leadership camp participants will also have the opportunity to enjoy Camp Laureate’s traditional camp activities such as archery, arts and crafts, field games, water games, theme days, special guests and more. Campers aged 8-14 are invited to join us for a cinematic journey where campers unleash their creativity, refine their technical skills and discover the transformative power of visual story telling. This immersive program is designed to ignite the passion for storytelling through the lens. Join us for an unforgettable experience where each frame captures not just moments, but the unique perspectives and narratives of your young filmmakers. Our specialist staff will share their knowledge and teach campers videography skills such as cinematic techniques, story boards and shot planning, visual effects, animation, and editing, At the end of the week campers will have a stop motion video to share with their friends and family. All exclusive programming campers will also enjoy Camp Laureate’s traditional camp activities such as archery, arts and crafts, field games, water games, theme days, special guests and more. Aftercare will be available on a first come, first serve basis. Aftercare hours are 4:00-5:30pm. The fee for aftercare is $15 per day, which includes a light snack.
