At Camp Laureate, we create an environment where kids can learn, grow, and have unforgettable experiences—and we need YOU to help make that happen!

Positions Available:

Camp Counsellors: Lead and inspire a group of campers, supervise activities, and ensure everyone has a safe and enjoyable experience.
Specialty Instructors: If you have expertise in a specific area (like arts, science, sports and more), we want you to lead these activities and bring your unique skills to camp!
Program Leads: Plan and implement arts and crafts, field game and archery activities for all Camp Laureate campers. Help ensure all campers stay engaged and active.
Behaviour Support: Work with all staff to help support campers with varying needs to be successful in the camp atmosphere.
Camp Coordinator: Assist with the behind-the-scenes operations that make the camp run smoothly.
Jr. Counsellor: Assist with camp groups of different ages and work with the group counsellor to run programs and ensure camper safety. This role is for intended for those wanting to learn to be a camp counsellor. Ideal next step for those who have completed our Leaders in Training program!

What We’re Looking For:

A passion for working with children and making a positive impact.
A team player with a great attitude, flexibility and a willingness to learn.
Enthusiasm, energy, and a love for having fun!
Previous experience in camp, education, or childcare is a plus, but not required—if you’re eager to learn, we’ll teach you the rest.
Love and enjoyment of the outdoors- willing to work in a variety of weather conditions.
Valid CPR level C (before start of employment)
Current Vulnerable Sector Check (for staff over 18)
Staff must be 16+ by start of employment to apply (excluding the Jr. Counsellor position)
Availability for all 7 weeks of camp, including pre-camp training dates (see below), and family night (August 6).
Willing to participate in various community marketing events.

Interview: We’ll review your application and invite you for an interview to get to know you better. Interviews will be conducted virtually starting in February 2025 until all positions are filled.
Join the Fun: If selected, we’ll provide you with all the training and tools you need to succeed and have an unforgettable summer! Training dates are on-site as follows:

Saturday June 14, 2025- Specialists, Program Leads, Camp Coordinator, Behaviour Support
Saturday June 21, 2025- Group Counsellors, Jr. Counsellors
July 2-4, 2025- All Staff Training
