Campers of all ages will love this week-long program packed with hands-on science projects, activities, and experiments.

During this program campers will be tasked with solving a variety of questions using scientific principles and conduct experiments to solve difficult challenges. Our experienced science specialists will challenge campers to test their knowledge, conduct experiments and expand their minds. Each day, campers will learn about a different scientific principal, make predictions, test hypothesis, and compare results with the findings of fellow campers. This program is perfect for any young scientist looking to spend their time with like-minded peers, solve intriguing questions and compete in interactive group challenges.

Wacky Science campers will enjoy a balanced mix of specialized instruction and traditional day camp activities including archery, arts and crafts, water games, hiking, campfire, theme day activities, special guests and more. Our budding scientists will spend their days enjoying the outdoors on our beautiful 50-acres of space, and then retreating into our newly renovated science classroom. All camp participants will be provided with a delicious and nutritious lunch in our indoor cafeteria.

Calling all adventurers! In this science program that has been specially designed for nature lovers, campers will have the opportunity to explore the wonderful outdoors.

With activities such as orienteering, plant and tree identification, trail hiking, nature scavenger hunts and more, campers of all ages are sure to love this exciting outdoor education program. Our outdoor education teachers are ready to share their love of the outdoors with campers and spend their days investigating our amazing 50-acres of land that backs onto miles of Bruce Trails.

Discovery Science campers will enjoy a blend of specialized outdoor education instruction and traditional day camp activities including archery, arts and crafts, water games, field games, campfire, theme day activities, special guests and more. Our budding scientists will spend the majority of their days outdoor and then retreat into our newly renovated facilities for a break from the heat. All camp participants will be provided with a delicious and nutritious lunch in our indoor cafeteria.

Robotics

Jump into the exciting world of robots! In this program for campers ages 7-14, young engineers will build their knowledge of all things robot!

This camp is open to campers of all experience levels. Campers will be introduced to the basics of building, programming, and testing their own robots. Our Engineering and Technology specialists will work with small groups of campers to plan, test and modify instructional sequences designed to put the robots through a series of challenges with varying degrees of difficulty. Campers will learn fundamental programming skills in a fun, engaging and hands-on learning environment with like-minded peers. Our low camper to staff ratio will ensure that all participants will learn in a small group environment and get the most out of their time in the skill building workshops. Campers will end the week with an exciting group challenge designed to get campers working together, building teamwork and communication skills while developing new friendships.

All Robotics campers will enjoy a mix of specialty robotic programming instruction and traditional day camp activities including archery, arts and crafts, water games, hiking, campfire, field games, theme day activities, special guests and more. These future programmers will spend their days enjoying the outdoors on our beautiful 50-acres of space, and then retreating into our camp robotics lab. All camp participants will be provided with a delicious and nutritious lunch in our indoor cafeteria.

Coding

Come and join our specialist Coding staff for a fun filled week of exploring beginner coding skills.

This program is available for campers of all ages, abilities, and level of experience. In this specialized program, campers new to computer sciences will receive hands-on instruction to learn a variety of different renowned software, including the basics of sequencing, loops, selection and debugging strategies and focus on the foundation of programming. Campers who have already mastered the basics will be challenged to solve a range of coding problems by writing new code, using strategies to fix and improve current code and apply their coding innovation skills to build unique computer programs.  While no programming experience is required, all campers would benefit from understanding common computer tasks. By the end of the week, campers will take home a knowledge toolkit of new coding skills that are sure to impress!

All Coding campers will enjoy a balanced mix of specialty computer coding instruction and traditional day camp activities including archery, arts and crafts, water games, hiking, campfire, theme day activities, special guests and more. Our Coding campers will spend their days enjoying the outdoors on our beautiful 50-acres of space, and then retreating into our camp computer lab. All camp participants will be provided with a delicious and nutritious lunch in our indoor cafeteria.

Video Game Design

Calling all gamers!! Camp Laureate’s Video Game Design program is a highly anticipated program where campers aged 10-14 will have the opportunity to learn from experienced video game designers.

Our highly skilled technology specialists will take the time to walk campers through the game design process from beginning to the end, while introducing them to a variety of software and hardware options. Campers will learn to bring their imaginations to the screen by creating their own fully functional games throughout the week. Starting with storyboarding their ideas and designing graphics to programming and beta testing their creations, campers will love every second of this hands-on, engaging, and fun learning opportunity. 

Campers participating in the Video Game Design program will enjoy a mix of specialised instruction and “unplugged” traditional day camp activities including archery, arts and crafts, water games, hiking, campfire, theme day activities, special guests and more. Our Video Game Design campers will spend their days in our newly renovated classroom, before heading outside to enjoy our 50-acres of outdoor space which backs onto the Bruce Trails. All camp participants will be provided with a delicious and nutritious lunch in our indoor cafeteria.

Makerspace

This program is perfect for the creative and crafty minded campers looking to develop their DIY skills.

Using a mix of traditional and non-traditional materials campers will love letting their creativity shine as they build and create a variety of innovative designs. Our highly trained speciality staff will encourage campers to incorporate new building techniques, explore conventional and non-conventional building materials and create new and innovative projects. While keeping safety and craftsmanship at the forefront, campers will experience the process of invention from beginning to end. Starting with the conception of a new idea, designing, and planning their project all the way through to building and testing their creation. The Makerspace program is open to campers 7-10 years of age.

Makerspace campers will enjoy an energizing mix of specialised instruction and traditional day camp activities including archery, arts and crafts, water games, hiking, campfire, theme day activities, special guests and more. Our Makerspace camp will primarily take place outdoors on our beautiful 50-acres of space, with the option for indoor activities in the case of inclement weather. All camp participants will be provided with a delicious and nutritious lunch in our indoor cafeteria.
